Hi to all the parents and students from Mr. Wood's class,
I hope you are all managing the situation well in these difficult times. Social isolation is sometimes a challenge but very important to help minimize the spread of Covid-19. Please continue to do your part to ensure that we all "flatten the curve". In the coming days, it is expected that our government will extend school closures to avoid unnecessary health risks to students, education workers and to the public as a whole. As a result, the Grand Erie District School Board is looking to find ways to continue to promote student learning while at home. Options are still being considered but we need your help to determine the best course of action. You will likely be contacted in the near future to determine computer/internet access for online learning.
Below is a message from our board regarding the questions being asked of families.
We are interested in the Learning Resources that students at BDES have access to at home. We are conducting this survey because Grand Erie is striving to support students and families with technology who may not have access to it at this time, given that learning online may be how we move forward for a time. The information collected in this form will be kept confidential and will be used by the school administrators and educators to support students. All responses will be aggregated together to produce an anonymous school-level report to share with the Grand Erie ITS department.
Personal information on this form is collected under the legal authority of the Education Act (sections 8.1) in compliance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act [MFIPPA].
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the collection of this information please contact the school Principal at Janie.senko-driedger@granderie.ca.
Thank you for taking time to do this.
